Privacy

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing you do here is sold or passed on to advertisers.

The only cookies are the ones WordPress needs to serve the page. They store no personal data and disappear when you close your browser.

Visitor statistics

I use Umami to count visits. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. It records the page you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, which site you came from, and what kind of device and browser you used. All of it is aggregated, so there is no way to trace a visit back to a person.

Umami is run by Umami Software and hosted in the United States. If you would rather not be counted at all, any browser extension that blocks trackers will stop it.

If you email me

Your email address and whatever you write end up in my inbox, hosted by Combell. I use it to answer you and nothing else. I keep it as long as the conversation is useful and delete it after that.

The survey

The survey on this site runs on Google Forms, and answers are stored in Google Drive. Google acts as processor and may store data outside the EU under the standard contractual clauses. Filling it in is voluntary, and the email field is optional. If you leave your address, I use it only to let you know when parts are ready.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Send a mail and I'll sort it out. If you think I've handled it badly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority at gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
